Tile
TILE: A tile is a thin object usually square or rectangular in shape. Tile is a manufactured piece of hard-wearing material such as ceramic, stone, metal, baked clay or even glass, generally used for covering roofs, floors, walls or other objects. Tilling stone is typically marble onyx, granite or slate. Thinner tiles can be used on walls than on floors, which require more durable surfaces that will resist impacts. Decorative tilework or tile art should be distinguished from mosaic, where forms are made of great numbers of tiny irregularly positioned tesserae, each of a single colour, usually of glass, ceramic or stone. Interlock / Paving Stones
INTERLOCK/PAVING STONES: These are most commonly made from cement or concrete and tend to simulate the effects of cobblestone pathways. Interlock Pavers connect together through the use of sand and can cover any patio or driveway. It's alternative to virtually any application that you would normally use bricks or concrete for. SGC is an expert in the supply and Installation of Interlock/Paving Stones. We have many colours and designs from which our clients choose from and you can be rest assured that our well-trained artisans will do a perfect installation of Interlock/Paving Stones for you. Interlock/paving stones are modular; this means that they connect together to form a variety of geometric designs. When installed properly, the combination of the pavers, bedding sand, edge restraint and joint sand causes them to bind, allowing the pavers units to become a unified whole.
Stamped Polished Concreate Floors
STAMPED POLISHED CONCRETE FLOORS: This is a concrete that is patterned and/or textured or embossed to resemble brick, slate, flagstone, stone, tile and various other patterns and textured. Stamped Polished Concrete is commonly used for patios, sidewalks, driveways, pool decks and interior flooring. However, there are three procedures used in stamped concrete which separate it from other concrete procedures; the addition of a base colour, the addition of an accent colour and stamping a pattern into the concrete. These three procedures provide stamped concrete with a colour and shape similar to the natural building material. It lasts longer than paving stones and still resembles the look.
